Random September cuteness!

Muscle shirts and sleepy edition:

California!

We went to visit Aunt Rita and Uncle Thomas in Santa Barbara in the first week of August, and we had a great time, although poor Dominic managed to pick up a case of Coxsackie virus AND a cold. Still, we did enjoy our first visit to the beach as well as Dominic's first baseball game at Dodger Stadium.

It was a looooong flight from New York so Dominic fell asleep on the final leg to Santa Barbara.

Dominic spent a lot of time hanging out with Baby Joseph, who is a month younger than him, but just as big!

We all went out to a lovely seafood restaurant and got to hang out right next to the aquarium, to Dominic's delight. (Though you can't really tell in this picture!)

Our first visit to the beach was on a day when the fog came in and it was freezing cold!

So we came back the next day when it was much warmer:

We went to Dodger Stadium and got to see Manny Ramirez wear #99. (Dominic was more impressed by the red-haired boy sitting in front of us and kept trying to touch his hair.)

Dominic enjoyed his trip so much, he started making a whole new sound (sort of like chirping) while at Auntie Rita's!

En route from Marco's, we stopped off to visit some old friends in New Haven - David, Cindy and Tommy, whom I used to dog sit. After some initial hesitation, Dominic and Tommy seemed quite taken with each other.

After a hot afternoon of eating cake, of course it was only natural for the boys to want to splash around a bit. (Except that the birthday boy was not so excited by this idea, so Dominic ended up splashing in Marco's green frog pool by himself!)
